A CRITICAL INVESTIGATION IN ANALYSING THE KEY DETERMINANTS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ENHANCING EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT IN THE MULTI NATIONAL COMPANIES
R.Sridhar, D. Padmavathi
Abstract
The level of commitment shown by employees is directly proportional to the level of success that an organisation achieves. Increasing the level of communication and collaboration between management and staff is one of the most efficient ways to motivate employees. The communicative and interactive capabilities of AI systems used in HRM allow for a more individualised and customised approach to dealing with workers. There has been an increase in the adoption of solutions based on AI across a variety of roles within human resources, which has had a favourable impact on the experiences that employees have while on the job. On the other hand, preliminary study into the effects of AI-mediated HRM practises is now being conducted. Workers are said to have a "positive view" on the worth of the company when they are "engaged" in their job. This study's objective is to determine whether or whether artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools, software, and technology can assist management in identifying intangibles such as employee engagement level and offer hints as to what factors influence it and how management can work to enhance it.
Because employee turnover rates are already dangerously high, with over 10% in the top three industries, and continuing to grow dangerously every year, it is essential for organisations to work toward employee retention by maintaining employee engagement and catering to employee needs while keeping the organization's mission in mind. It has been estimated by the Work Institute and the 2018 Retention Report that firms may anticipate spending a total of $680 billion on turnover expenses by the year 2020. In addition to this, they investigated the top 50 explanations for why employees are dissatisfied with their existing positions. More often than any other factor, including salary and benefits, employee health, and the behaviours of supervisors and managers, career growth and work-life balance (or the lack thereof) were mentioned as areas of concern. Because of advancements in artificial intelligence, the concept of "understanding workers" has seen a substantial development in recent years. Bots have progressed to the point that they can recognise patterns and anticipate human behaviour, thanks to breakthroughs in areas such as Big Data Analysis, machine learning, and other fields.
