V.M.SuneelaShyam
Abstract
In the current economic conditions, entrepreneurship plays an important role in creating more job opportunities,
increasing economic income and effectively supporting rural and national development. The emergence of Self Help
Groups (SHGs) has given birth to many women entrepreneurs, there are about 7.25 lakh groups in Tamil Nadu, and
they focus on empowering women, creating income streams from assets and supporting increased economic income.
and so on. An SHG is a small, voluntary group of people, mostly women, belonging to the same socio-economic
culture, who are willing to work together to create products and services and market them to achieve a common
goal. SHG mainly consists of 8-20 people.
It was found that the increase in the number of women entrepreneurs has also led to an increase in the total number
of women entrepreneurs, and this increase has been unprecedented in recent years. Women entrepreneurs in the
community support the upliftment of their home and community, provide better products and services, and
miraculously improve the overall economy. In recent years, many changes have taken place in the development of
the city of our country, as a result of which its plans, procedures, programs and activities have changed. and so on.
For its effective and efficient implementation, people play an important role in the vision and development process.
Thus, planners and managers play an important role in rural development by trying to involve different rural areas
