Abstract
Cancer is a severe condition that may be particularly distressing for young individuals receiving treatment. A meta-analysis was conducted to see if there are any differences in psychological adaptation between children undergoing cancer treatment and healthy children. The research was conducted between April 2022 and March 2023 at the Mayo Hospital in Lahore. The fixed effects model's results showed no discernible differences in psychological adaptation between sick and healthy kids. This shows that both groups endure comparable modifications throughout the procedure. The research also evaluated methodological issues linked to the concept of psychological adjustment and its implementation, as well as the scarcity of published studies in this field. For more studies in this area, the authors provide suggestions. Overall, the research reveals that there is not enough proof to imply that children receiving cancer treatment have different degrees of psychological adaptability than healthy children.
