This paper presents the statistical methods and statistical quality control tools. Statistical Quality Control is a branch of statistics. Data are two types (variables, Attributes). Variables measure- Length, Diameter, Volume, Time, Temperature etc. Attributes count- Number or percent defective items, Number of defects per item. Statistical quality control tools X bar chart, R chart, P chart, np chart, c chart had been used. X bar chart and R chart usually fall under control charts by variables, P chart, np chart, C chart are control charts by attributes. Statistical quality control will compare the data that it has observed from the process with those control limit and see whether the data is within control limits or beyond the control limits. Quality control uses the product which is designed to meet the requirement of the customer. The factors to be considered while designing the product are cost, profit policy of the company, demand, Availability of the parts. Three categories of statistical quality control are:- statistical process control, Descriptive statistics, Acceptance sampling.
