A STUDY ON THE ORGANISATIONAL CHALLENGES FACED BY SIDCO DURING COVID 19 CRISIS

Abstract
India has experienced a longer period of lockdown than the world average. This has severly affected domestic economic activity and pulled down the GDP growth. Small business are the backbone of any economy, and with the ripple effect of covid- 19 on economies all over the world, their protection has become important more than ever. The consequencies of the pandemic for our global economy and financial sector are unpredictable.
The SIDCO act as a “Total solution provider” for small scale sector offers all facilities and assistance to setup small scale units across kerala. It aids in the establishment of entrepreneurship and skill development. The main objective of SIDCO is to stimulate the growth of industries in the small scale sector. The pandemic induced lockdown and subsequent distruption in demand and cash economy, supply of raw material and labour, and lack of access to affordable credit have shattered the business operation of many MSME’s, especially micro enterprises . In this scenario it is essential to study the organizational challenges faced by SIDCO during covid- 19 crisis
