A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW ON THE MANAGEMENT OF OROFACIAL PAIN

Abstract
Introduction: Orofacial pain is one of the most severe pain problems worldwide, and many patients cannot find effective management methods. The prevalence of orofacial pain is almost 25% of the population, and the etiology can be odontogenic or non-odontogenic. Non-odontogenic orofacial pain is challenging to diagnose. Material and Methods: The literature was searched using “Pub Med” and electronic databases from 1981 to 2021. A total of 78 articles were retrieved from 1982-2022. Among the retrieved articles, most of them were case reports related to medical treatment procedures, 7 were original research articles
