A Systematic Review Of The Preclinical Research On The Use Of Seaweeds In The Treatment Of Liver Disease

Abstract
Objectives: This systematic review aims to contemplate the information about the polysaccharides derived from marine algae and their cogency in treating liver disease.
Methods:
Online electronic databases such as PubMed, Scopus, JGate, and ProQuest are used to collect data regarding the polysaccharides derived from marine algae. The following keyword combination was used “polysaccharides “AND “algae” AND “liver disease”. The search strategy has been set considering the English language, and no further limit has been set. The review protocol is registered on PROSPERO, registration no. CRD42022356127. This review has followed the PICO approach for considering inclusion criteria. All the collected data were taken for risk of bias using the SYRCLE Rob tool.
