OBJECTIVE: Thepurpose of the current research is to investigate the association between depression, stress, anxiety, negative urgency, and marital satisfaction in married people in Lahore. METHODS: From June 2022 to December 2022, 120 people, 60 men, and 60 females, all between the ages of 21 and 30, participated in this correlational research in Lahore, Pakistan. People who have been married for two to three years are included. The method of purposeful sampling is used to collect data. RESULTS: Married people with high negative urgency had poor marital satisfaction, according to the results, which showed a substantial negative link between these two variables. Negative urgency, tension, and anxiety were also shown to have a strong positive association. This demonstrated that married individuals with high levels of negative urgency also experience significant levels of stress and anxiety. Positive urgency, persistence, and premeditation did not have a significant association with any of the research variables, but negative urgency and depression did not have one either. CONCLUSIONS: There are four hypotheses in our investigation. The findings revealed a substantial link between negative urgency, anxiety, and stress, but not depression. Additionally, there is a strong correlation between marital satisfaction and negative urgency. Additionally, there are subscales of the negative urgency that indicate that positive urgency, a lack of persistence, and a lack of premeditation do not affect the other research factors.
