Abstract
OBJECTIVE: A lengthier course of thromboprophylaxis may reduce the incidence of thromboembolism
problems after bariatric surgery. Fondaparinux may be used to stop blood clots from developing after
the patient leaves the hospital. The study intends to determine the effectiveness of Fondaparinux in
preventing the development of blood clots and associated complications after bariatric surgery. This
research will provide important insights into the use of Fondaparinux as a prophylactic measure for
bariatric surgery patients, helping to inform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
