ANTERIOR GUIDING PLANE FOR CORRECTION OF CLASS II DIVISION 1 MALOCCLUSION- A CASE REPORT

Abstract

A Class II Malocclusion in a 14 year old growing patient with hypodivergent skeletal pattern and decreased anterior facial height along with deep anterior overbite is presented. The malocclusion was treated following a non-extraction approach by using a combination of fixed anterior guiding plane and Class II elastics along with fixed appliance therapy. There was significant improvement in the jaw position, facial profile, smile and esthetics.
