Abstract
The aim of present study is Hydroalcholic extract of Pterocarpus marsupium (HAPM) on High Fat diet induced
hyperlipidemic rat in models, Here Chronic hyperlipidemia was induced by administration of oral feeding fat diet
for 21 days to rats, treat with HDF significantly increased serum blood parameter such as Cholesterol,
Triglycerides. Treatment with HAPM 300 and 500 mg/kg, p.o significantly reduced the hyperlipidemia i.e.,
decreased levels of serum Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C), Very Low
Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (VLDL-C) , increase of serum High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-C) when
compared to vehicle control and Atorvastatin (10 mg/kg). Histological study on heart showed amarked regression
