Application of queuing theory to mining equipment maintenance

Abstract
The application of the queuing theory to the maintenance of mining equipment allows to reduce
unproductive times and constitutes a very valuable work tool, superior to the traditional one. The
objective of the research was to elaborate a procedure for calculating the amount of equipment in
maintenance, to minimize the cost of unproductive time in the closed cycle.
