Abstract

Background: Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of mortality in children with chronic kidney disease (CKD). These Children are stratified into the highest tier of cardiovascular risk in the American Heart Association pediatric consensus Guidelines for cardiovascular health because of their predisposition to accelerated atherosclerosis.
