Autologous Marrow Instillation Outcome In Delayed Union And Non Union Of Long Bones In Patients With Comorbodities

Abstract
A retrospective study of outcome of the use of autologous bone marrow instillation for treatment of delayed
union and non union of long bones who previously undergone fracture fixation by different variety of bone
fixation devices /implants in patients with comorbodities, in department of orthopedics, Index medical College,
morodhat, Indore (m.p.) from 2021-2022 is presented. There were 50 patients participated in the study who
were injected freshly harvested bone marrow aspirate, of which 35 patients were followed up till union or
otherwise having fractures[12 Femur(closed),10 Tibia(closed),9 Radius(closed),4Humerus(3closed,1 open type
1)] available for study. Percutaneous injection of autologous marrow alone(without anticoagulants) to stimulate
and accelerate healing of delayed union and non union treated initially by plating and nailing
