Bianchi Type-V Universe with Variable Cosmological Term  in General Relativity

Abstract

We study the Bianchi type-V in the frame work of decaying cosmological constant with perfect fluid. Einstein field equations have been solved under condition (t) = 3H 2. The cosmological term which is a measure of the energy of empty space provides a repulsive force opposing the gravitational pull between the galaxies.The cosmological model expands exponentially with cosmic time t. Physical and kinematical properties of the cosmological model are also explained.
