Biological characteristics of peach fruit fly, Bactrocera zonata (Saunders) (Diptera: Tephritidae) treated with gamma rays

Abstract
The effect of gamma radiation on some biological aspects of the peach fruit fly, Bactrocera zonata(Saunders) (Diptera: Tephritidae) was investigated. The results appeared that the adults emergence from irradiated pupae was decreased by increasing gamma radiation doses, the percent reduction were 0.66, 7.28 9.93.18.55, 20.53, and 39% following irradiation with 10, 20, 30, 50, 60 and 90 Gy, respectively,
