Abstract
Background: Vocal cord paralysis is a clinically significant disorder resulting from impaired neural
control of the vocal folds. It may present with voice changes, swallowing difficulties, aspiration, and
respiratory symptoms. The etiological spectrum varies widely and includes surgical injury,
malignancy, neurological disorders, and idiopathic causes. Understanding local patterns of
presentation and management is important for improving patient care.
