CULTIVATING RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL CHARACTER: AN ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL PERSPECTIVE AT SDIT SEMARAK
Dr.B.Danappa
Abstract
The purpose of education is to maximize the potential of motivated students by preparing them not only for their religious beliefs and self-control but also for the information, skills, and moral attributes that the country and society need. The purpose of the study is to determine SDIT Semarak's religious spiritual character development system from an Islamic educational philosophy standpoint. The author conducted field research for this study using the Qualitative Descriptive Research approach, which entails explicitly reporting events in the field and generates written and spoken data from people's observable behavior. a qualitative strategy combined with analytical methods such as data reduction, data verification, and content analysis. The study's findings demonstrate that at SDIT Semarak, the development of religious and spiritual character is achieved through the daily routines of students and the school community, which span from morning until after school. Additionally, extracurricular activities pertaining to character values are offered during these hours, and they are integrated into the curriculum at all school levels. It may be inferred that students at SDIT Semarak feel more assisted in attaining religious spiritual character in themselves when their everyday routines are interwoven with spiritual character.
