The failure of nations to keep pace with technological advancement has resulted in a deficiency in regulating online privacy to safeguard people's personal data since their conventional legal texts and policies are difficult to adapt to the virtual world in order to secure it. Due to the increase in the amount of data collected, processed, and used on the internet; the difficulties in controlling data streaming over, and the decreased ability to control that flow as a result of decentralisation, individuals in countries without a policy, laws, or guidelines are unable to control their personal data. In another word, the violation of an IP address is not the same as the violation of residential or body privacy, nor is it the same as the violation of an e-mail address or password.
