Challenges of Implementing Engineering Learning Models For Early Childhood in Jakarta

Abstract
The use of engineering learning models needs to be applied in the face of the digital era. This
investigation is the result of community service research carried out in six kindergartens in the
Jakarta area. The research subjects were 12 people consisting of 5 people from the Puskur team, and 7
people from participants consisting of teachers and kindergarten principals. Collecting data using
interview techniques, Focus Group Discussion, and observation. Data analysis includes data reduction,
display, and drawing conclusions. The investigation concluded that the implementation of the learning
model trial with an engineering approach at the early childhood level was carried out well and
smoothly. The implementation of the learning model trial activities with an engineering approach at
the early childhood level was carried out well and smoothly. The investigation through FGD obtained
information that the teachers did not understand about the learning that was added to the
engineering learning model. If engineering in general can be understood, but if engineering is in the
form of learning the teachers feel that there is no idea how to implement it
