Citizen’s Charter: A way to deal with citizen’s problems

Abstract
This research paper aimed to describe the role of citizen’s charter in dealing with citizens problems. Citizen’s Charter is considered as an important document in any type of organization whether it is public or private in order to bring transparency and accountability in the delivery of services. It has come up with lots of positive changes in the service delivery process. It is considered as a tool of good governance and empowers the citizens in the decision- making process. Under the scheme of Citizen’s Charter, citizens are provided with access to services and certain rights along with some responsibilities irrespective of creed or gender. A country like India also faced many difficulties in the proper implementation of Citizen’s Charter and some necessary steps needs to be taken in this direction.
