Abstract
Using scientific methods, Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) has been shown to be a dependable and safe surgical procedure. The duration, clinical follow-up, complications and follow –up of patients all have a significant role in the correlation of unilateral and bilateral TKA. The current study makes an effort to minimise the complications and increase the survivability rate of BL and UL in the Indian context. All Participants (n=200) were chosen from an orthopaedic outpatient clinic at the Department of Orthopaedics, Vydehi Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre between 2020 -2021. A total of 200 cases were considered for the study males comprises 88 cases and females were 112 cases respectively with sex ratio is 1:2. Asper the SOP surgically we operated both groups unilateral (n=157) and bilateral (n=43). The mean age of UL and BL was [64.95±6.89 years; CI 95% 51.45-8.45]; [ 64.88±7.04; CI 95% 51.08-8.68].The BMI (kg/m3) was recorded for both group , an overall mean BMI was 26.22 kg /m3.
