Customer’s awareness and adoption of Green Banking in Chennai District

Abstract
Due to the current state of globalization, it is extremely difficult for every sector of the global economy to manage
environmental issues and the effects they have on day-to-day operations. The natural environment, which is a major
factor in the expansion of the Indian economy, is causing society to become increasingly frightened and concerned.
The banking sector, like other sectors, has a duty to protect the environment. The banking industry has adopted the
idea of "green banking" to fulfil this duty. Key Words: Environmental Sustainability, Green Banking. The nature of
this research study is entirely descriptive. For the purpose of data collection, both primary and secondary data have
been gathered. The study used a sample of 151 people. Sample framing techniques include stratified sampling and
simple random sampling
