Depression and Anxiety in the Present Era: Correlation Analysis of Numerous Factors Among Students

Abstract
Depression and anxiety are psychological phenomena that have developed as a severe concern in
students’ behavioral attitudes and perceptions in the setting of globalization. The present era of
globalization is the synonym of the technology-based world, where the medium of the internet is
giving an important role in the career of students, but it is also leading to the level of anxiety and
depression among students. In these consequences, the present research paper explores the nexus
of anxiety/depression and internet addiction among graduate students in Indian universities and
colleges. The research work methodology is focused on analyzing sample primary data among
graduate students in universities and colleges in India. The study found that internet addiction is a
major cause of graduate student anxiety and despair. This study also examines student anxiety and
sadness in the context of internet addiction and its effects.
