Determination of the Levels of Some Trace Elements (Cu, Zn, Mn, Pb, Fe, Cu/Zn) in Patients with Colon Cancer, Najaf, Iraq

Abstract
The aim of our study is to determine the relationship of certain trace elements and colon cancer.
Materials and Methods:Serum counts (47) in individuals with colon cancer were compared with those in the
control groupA group of 30 volunteers and healthy subjects. Serum trace element levels (Cu, Mn, Fe, Zn, Pb,) was
determined using the atomic absorption spectrometry method in serum were determined by the Flame Atomic
Absorption spectrophotometer 6300 (AAS) and before the measurement the device was calibrated for the elements
