Digital Eye Strain And Fatigue Recognition System Using Smart Device
Dr. Deepti Sharma, Dr. Archana B.Saxena , Dr. Deepshikha Aggarwal
Abstract
In the last few years substantial increase can be noticed in the digital screen time and deleterious impact can be
noticed in our vital organs like eye of our visual system. Concerned literature have substantial evidence to prove
that increased interaction with digital devices and display based system is resulted into DES (Digital Eye Strain)
condition. To notice the strain in users eyes authors have come up with an idea to have a device for detecting the
same. This research piece discusses a compact and smart approach to check the eye strain using a compact device
called ‘Smart Goggle’. The device is fitted with few algorithms and some hardware components. The underlying
technology that is fitted in the device to assess the eye strain is Machine Learning. Some instructions are fed into
the device and these instructions operated on the images captured through the fitted camera. After processing,
results are communicated to the users of the device through LED lights.
