Dollarization in ecuador: the effect of safeguards on the economy

Abstract

The research intends to recognize as positive or negative the safeguards imposed during the decade of correism. The research is non-exploratory, purely bibliographic, starting from particular premises to generate general conclusions without influencing any of the variables, and supported by secondary sources. After the crisis of the nineties, the adoption of the dollar in Ecuador brought a number of benefits, stability in price levels as well as an improvement in macroeconomic policies
