EFFECT OF AEROBIC AND YOGIC EXERCISES ON SELECTED RESPIRATORY PARAMETERS AMONG SCHOOL BOYS OF NORTH PUNJAB

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of aerobic and yogic exercises on the selected respiratory parameters among governmentschool boysof north Punjab.To achieve the purpose of this study (n=90) students of schools of north punjab were selected at random and their age ranged from 13-15 years. The selected subjects were randomly assigned into 2 experimental and control group of 30 each. Group I underwent Aerobic training, Group II underwent Yogic training and group III acted as control group. The experimental group was subjected aerobic and yogic training on alternate days in a week for twelve weeks. The data was analyzed applying ANOVA test to find out to effect of aerobic and Yogic training on selected respiratory parameters. The level of significance was set at 0.05. There was a significant difference between pre and posttest of Aerobic and Yogic on VO2 max, Forced VC, Peak EF and Peak IFamong school boys.
