Abstract
Emotional Intelligence is an individual’s ability to understand, use, and manage their own emotions in a positive way to relieve stress. The Staff Nurses has to possess the necessary skills in dealing with such stressful situations and to manage their emotions when in contact with patients especially in critical situationsBackground -Researcher Goleman explains that for success in a workplace, it is important for an individual to be emotionally intelligent rather than possessing intelligence quotient. Emotional Intelligence is very much required in the workplace, Emotional Intelligence can very well be taught in a lecture class and developed through an active listening, engagement, and participation.O
