Abstract
The rare earth metal of cerium oxide (CeO2) nanoparticles was produced via a green biosynthesis process by water extract of Pomegranate peel (Punica granatum L). Cerium nitrate hexahydrate as a chemical agent for producing of cerium oxide nanoparticles. The powerful characterization studies of the Raman spectrum applied to the conformation of cerium oxide nanoparticles. The outcomes show that synthesized nanoparticles have a crystal structure and the morphology range 452cm-1. The in vitro cytotoxicity effect of CeO2 nanoparticles was examined on the Human lung cancer cell line (A549 cells) explored using MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2 yl]-2,5-diphenyltetra zolium bromide) assay which was detected in the treated Human lung cancer cell to be up to 25.6 0µg/ml. Additionally the synthesized cerium oxide nanoparticles were used to study the antioxidant activity by using FRAP (Ferric ions (Fe3+) reducing antioxidant power) Assay
