Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Performancein manufacturing Companies of Nepal

Abstract
Industry expertsnoticed that organizations are incorporating agile methods for obtaining higher level of
performance via established goals and objectives. Emotional Intelligence (EI) is contemplated to
contribute for the accomplishment of higher level of performance. With the current pandemic and crisis
situation, it has become very crucial to achieve higher level of performance thereby maximum utilization
of limited resources. Attaining higher level of emotional stability and realization might be the alternative
way to confront the current challenge. Using the survey-based responses of 300 mid-level managers
based in manufacturing sector of Terai region of Nepal, with valid response of 205.This study analyses
the impact of EI on organizational performance (OP). This study used the two step Structural Equation
Modelling (SEM)technique for data analysis. The results wereanalyzed with the help of SPSS and SMARTPLS which shows the significant positive effect of EI on OP. Further research and managerial implications
are advisedwhich can be used to increase the awareness and stability of employees and improvise the
organizational performance.
