Effect of Selected Vestibular Exercises and Yoga Postures on Metabolic Parameters and Anthropometry in Type 2 Diabetic Patients

Abstract
: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a rapidly growing disease among the population of India. Type 2
Diabetes is closely associated with lifestyle. Proper diet and adequate exercise are the vital components
for diabetic management. Yoga is one of the traditional exercises which helps diabetes management.
Vestibular exercise is a simple non-invasive physical activity that plays a role in maintaining posture and
equilibrium in Diabetic patients. Both vestibular exercise and yoga have a beneficial effect on Type 2
Diabetes Management. With this background, we took up this study on the effect of vestibular exercise
and yoga on metabolic parameters and anthropometry in Type 2 Diabetic patients.
