Polycystic ovarian syndrome occurs when an endocrine imbalance results in high levels of male hormones testosterone. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is mainly affects the women between ages of 18- 44. It causes the amenorrhea and infertility. The main aim and goal of the study were to assess effectiveness of sensitization program on knowledge regarding prevention of polycystic ovarian syndrome among adolescent girls. The research design selected for the study was pre experimental one group pre-test and post-test research design. A non-probability sampling technique was used to obtain sample of 60 adolescent girls who satisfied the inclusion criteria. The result revealed that pre-test mean value of knowledge (10.93±4.554) was lesser than post-test mean value (22.51±3.985). The mean difference was 11.583. The calculated “t” value is 17.40 which is found to be greater than the, tabulated value at t > 0.05 level. Hence research hypothesis H1 was accepted. The study concluded that sensitization program found to be effective on knowledge regarding prevention of polycystic ovarian syndrome among adolescent girls
