Emotional, Moral and Language Developmental Tasks for Personality Development during Childhood

Abstract
Emotion is a state of intensified excitement in which complex of feelings stirring up of the mind and physique of the individual. Emotions are seen through out the life time of an individual but with their intensity is not constant. Sometimes, same incident or situation will result in different emotions in different individuals. The same incident may also result in different emotions in same individual in different times. Morality refers to a certain code of conduct that is derived from one's culture, religion or personal philosophy that guides one's actions, behaviors and thoughts. True morality comes from within the individual. Social consciousness brings in moral consciousness. The essence of the religion of every individual should be taught clearly so as to imbibe the moral values from the religion. At the same time, the teacher should maintain same attitude towards other religions. Words are the pegs on which ideas hang. The ability to use language to express ideas is considered as a mark of great mental development. Teacher’s language proficiency is important factor for child’s language development. Girls can construct longer sentences than boys and are more skilled in expressing their thoughts effectively.
