Abstract
: Axial spondyloarthritis (AxSpA) is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects axial skeleton (spine and sacroiliac joint) mainly causing severe pain and disability. Although that axial skeleton is the common site to be affected by AxSpA, peripheral arthritis, dactylitis, and enthesitis occur in about half of patients with AxSpA. These peripheral manifestations can affect total disease activity. Unfortunately, the evaluation of disease activity and functional disability in AxSpA is complex and multifactorial. BASDAI, and ASDAS and BASFAI scores are based largely on subjective measures, and lacks objective biomarker of disease activity, patients and physicians have different perspectives of the disease activity, and none of the current scores adequately unifies both perspectives
