Evaluation of Serum Levels of Vitamin D in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract

T2DM is on the rise in Diwaniyah Governorate.And because there are globally a lot of studies found a strong relationship between this disease and the low plasma level of vitamin D. We gathered information on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in order to establish their vitamin D levels.Data of 227 patients (115 men and 112 women)were used. The study confirmed that all patients (100%) were with severe vitamin D deficiency.
