Evaluation of tensile strength of 3D printed PLA component and Taguchi optimization
Jyotisman Borah and M. Chandrasekaran
Abstract
Three dimensional printing or 3D printing is one of the subset of additive manufacturing that produces solid objects of almost any shape and form from digital model data. The 3D printing is becoming popular for producing parts in medical, aerospace, automobile industries; involve no loss of materials. Apart from dimensional accuracy, strength of the 3D printed component is found important and hence parametric study and optimization of process parameters is essential to maximize the strength of printed parts
