FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF FAST DISSOLVING BUCCAL FILM OF KETOCONAZOLE FOR THE TREATMENT OF OROPHARYNGEAL CANDIDIASIS
Mazid Ali Khan , Prof. Dr. Sachin Kumar , Mr. Ravi Jayant
Abstract
The solid dispersions were made using a method of solvent evaporation with varying peg600 ratios. FTIR based spectroscopy was used to assess the solubilization and connection of the formulated solid dispersions. For film deposition, the solid dispersions with the maximum solubility are chosen. The fast disintegrating film were ready using a solvent casting process with varying ratios of CMC and sodium alginate and afterwards tested for physical test, thickness, weight variation, drug content, surface pH, and folding endurance, in vitro dissolution. The F1 preparation was discovered to be right choice, with a disintegration time of 58 +0.91 and a release of drug of 90.073 after 15 minutes
