Formulation and Evaluation of the Floating Controlled Release Tablet of Fosinopril sodium by using a hydrophilic polymer matrix

Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to develop a floating Controlled tablet of Fosinopril sodium by using a hydrophilic polymer matrix to improve the therapeutic effectiveness of the drug. Methods: Fosinopril sodium tablets were prepared by direct compression and evaluated for FTIR of Pure Drug, drugexcipients compatibility, Pre and Post Evaluation Studies, in-vitro Studies study, Stability Study.. Results: DSC and FT-IR studies confirmed the absence of incompatibility and were found stable at refrigerator temperature (2-8°C) and at 25ºC/60% RH
