GEORGE ORWELL'S NOVEL "1984" AS AN IMPORTANT SOURCE OF SOCIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF TOTALITARISM

Abstract
The article outlines the principles of analysis of totalitarianism based on George Orwell's social novel"1984" using the literary method. The article also undertakes a comparative analysis of the main characteristics of totalitarianism and the main ideas of the totalitarian society depicted in this novel.
Proceeding from this, the features and significance of the literary method in a comprehensive analysis of the life of society are revealed.
