Abstract
The hydrological and hydraulic models allowed a great advance in the study of the hydrographic
basins, for which different models were used, which have been accepted worldwide in engineering
focused on meteorology, hydrology, hydraulics and other areas related to the management of water
resources. The groundwater quality was generally good and is associated with the type of rocks and
geology of the basin. This article uses different approaches to determine the behavior of the basins
present in the area of a limestone-clay quarry, based on the need to demonstrate the non-existence
of large watercourses in the area that demand the use of a drainage system, considering that the
exploitation of the quarry is done intermittently, depending on the demand.
