A. Ignacy, Sunitha Don Bosco
Abstract
Background: Dissemination of information requires effective communication. Public education can be
easier and more cost-effective with the use of media in today’s context. Environmental communication
focuses on utilizing media and communication processes to promote sustainable environmental
practices, such as better public engagement in environmental decision-making, and effective project
implementation. Environment Communication in this context is used to effect rainwater harvest.
Rainwater harvesting involves water collected from runoff and sediment rain as well as groundwater
flow can be used for cultivation. The Indian government's National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti,
is an endeavour to achieve long-term environmental development and climate proofing by collecting
