The contamination of bodies of water generates a process of eutrophication, a phenomenon that causes an overflowing growth of algae and other plants, generating a deterioration in the quality of the water, in Ecuador, the lagoon of San Antonio de Padua, located northwest of the city of Riobamba is affected by this problem
