Identification Of Surface Molecules On LongTerm Cultured Murine Cells
T.N.Bankar
Abstract
All cells in any living system possess specific CDR(Cluster Determining Receptor)on their cell surface.
Identification of these CDRs is helpful in the studies related to their cell lineage determination and their relative
importance in metabolic function in immune and non-immune responses. In this study, we have identified the
certain specific CDRs existing on the surface of a cell culture derived from the naïve mouse spleen, named as
NMSC by us. This study will be useful in determining the development stages at which cells exist in any culture.
This study was carried out using commercially available fluorescent cell surface antibodies tagged with specific
markers by the Fluorescent Activated Cell Sorting technique. The results obtained by us show evidence of the
cells in an early stage of development in in-vitro cell culture.
