Impact Of Mental Health And Self Esteem On LGBT Students

Abstract
Background:The term LGBT has been one of the most controversial topic regarding the issues of gender identity and continue to face inequalities and have been mis represented quite invariably. There are serious major health concerning issues that these individuals are undergoing some even life threatening.
Objective: This descriptive review attempts to explore 5 questions: What is the nature of the underlying mental health of LGBT community, what are the pathways that contribute to mental health issues whether the ex isting health facilities facilitate or help in mitigating these pathways. What are the challenges queer experience and what are the common health misconception and stereotypes that continue to represent these group of individuals. How can we help to navig ate the traumas related to oppression and generational trauma.
Method: Interviews, Observations, Data collection from exploratory procedures. The data was abstracted from individual references, emotions and behavior.
