Investigating the effect of environmental and graphical factors in architectural design of playgrounds for children from a psychological perspective

Abstract
Research in the field of urban spaces, particularly playgrounds for children, is an essential, since the Iranian city experienced undesired developments after the transition from tradition to modernity, which many of them have remained on the living body of the city and culture of Iranians. It is seen in many cases that environments for children are constructed without considering their basic needs. A good urban environment for children is an environment that meets their expectations, communicates reasonably with them, and satisfies their needs. In this study, we aim to examine the environmental factors from the psychological perspective and investigate the impact of these factors on choosing a suitable location at the urban level for entertainment of children in order to create an environment in which the children will have a sense of belonging and comfort. The results of this research were presented as architectural strategies to meet the needs of children in some extent by using these strategies. Research methodology was analytical and library method was used to collect data
