Investigating the opinions and views about the design of urban public spaces relying on accessibility
Asal Sharifi
Abstract
Designing a lively and accessible urban space is one of the most important issues in the world. The new cities should attract the additional population of the metropolis with the help of creating employment centers. Also, it should prevent suburbanization in megacities and the destruction of agricultural territories of big suburbs, and eventually cause infrastructure development costs of the megacity to be reduced. Today, urban designers believe that urban spaces reflect people's lives, and understating these sites is a reliable way to achieve the proper design method. Providing the urban lively quality as an ideal is seen at the top of many urbanism documents, which is due to the importance of this issue in itself. In this study, the opinions and views about the design of urban public spaces relying on accessibility have been explored.
