Reza Bagheri Alashti, Mahyar Valeh Shiva
Abstract
This study aimed to extract and identify the characteristics that influence teenagers' tendency to entrepreneurship (13 to 19 years old). The statistical population for the qualitative section of this study, which was designed on a mixed exploratory approach, consisted of 24 experts in the fields of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in schools, and start-up enterprises who were chosen using the criteria approach and the saturation principle. Based on Cochran's formula and the targeted sample strategy, 385 participants from the entrepreneurial and education fields took part in the quantitative portion of this study. The results of exploratory factor analysis in the area of influencing variables on the tendency toward entrepreneurship in teenagers revealed that 114 open codes from the influencing factors on the tendency to entrepreneurship among teenagers were identified, of which 41 indicators and 4 key factors were identified by categorizing and centering on the most important category. According to this and a semi-structured interview with experts in the field, the tendency of teenagers to become entrepreneurs is influenced by six categories of macro policies, the educational model, environmental generosity, specific perspectives, personality traits, and educational characteristics. The researcher then created a questionnaire based on the identified themes and sub-themes, had its content validity examined by specialists, and used Cronbach's alpha to quantify and confirm the internal consistency of the questions. The results of the explanatory and inferential analysis based on structural equations demonstrated that the discovered components have a significant and positive impact on the growth of the influencing variables on the predisposition to entrepreneurship. This approach may be used to investigate the primary variables influencing the likelihood of teens becoming entrepreneurs based on the data collected and the structural equation model's optimal fit.
