Abstract

Background: Cervical cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide, with nearly 70% of cancer deaths occurring in low- and middle-income countries. Cervical cancer can be diagnosed through a medical history, clinical examination, and laboratory tests. Cervical cancer screening can be done using the IVA/ VIA (Inspeksi Visual Asam Asetat/ Visual inspection with acetic acid) method, Pap smear, Pap net, cervical angiography, colposcopy, and fluid cytology. The VIA method is the simplest, easiest, cheapest, and fastest screening method to detect cervical abnormalities.
