Methanolic extract and crude sapogenin glycosidic mixture obtained from Dragea volubilis ameliorates scopolamine-induced memory impairment in mice

Abstract
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a major challenge for neurobiology. The aging population, particularly those over 65 years, is at a greater risk of dementia due to AD. Dragea volubilis abundantly found in south India has been extensively used as an ayurvedic medicine to treat many ailments. Chemical exploration yielded potential leads for the treatment of many diseases.
